Protect Nature Poetry Competition: week 2
Drop in sessions are also happening from 3 to 5 April.
Take part in our Protect Nature poetry competition in collaboration with Essex Library Services, running from 25 March to 20 April!
Alongside our Victorian Easter Card making in the Wells Suite, there will be books, hints and tips, templates, and inspiration to get you started on your poems, with some of resources available for you to take home. Complete your poem and submit it with an entry form to Chelmsford Museum or any Chelmsford library.
Can’t attend the Museum on these dates? The competition is open for the whole of the Easter holidays so you could also pick up an entry form from your nearest Chelmsford library or at the museum and complete this at home.
Entries will be judged on 2 May. They will be judged based on their link to the theme of Protecting Nature, how the poem is written, and originality. The age categories for the competition are Under 6s, 7 – 12 years, and 13 – 18 years. First place from each category will win a prize from Chelmsford Museum and a certificate, and second and third place will win certificates.
