Love Parks Day

On Friday 26 July, we are delighted to welcome the return of Love Parks Day to Oaklands Park!

Celebrate Chelmsford’s green spaces as part of the nationwide Love Parks Week, running from 24 July to 2 August 2024. It’s free to attend and runs from 10am to 3pm across our front lawn. Bring family, bring friends: just like our parks and green spaces, there’ll be something for everyone to enjoy. 

Please note parking won’t be available at the museum on this day except for blue badge holders. You can read our list of alternative parking available on our website.

Activity: Print a tote bag

Learn the principles, techniques and ideas behind screen printing with artist Katie Kennedy. You'll screen print your very own tote bag to take away inspired by the Restless Brilliance exhibition and the Love Your Parks day. All materials provided, suitable for ages 5+.

Free – sign up to a timeslot at the gazebo at the front of the Museum.

Location: Pertwee Room

Times: Every hour between 10.30am and 3.30pm. Capacity 10. All those wanting a tote bag will need to sign up to the activity, those not participating can observe.
