Christmas opening hours
During the Christmas period, we are operating a reduced out of hours stray dog service.
The service will stop at midday on 24 and 31 December.
The service will be unavailable on 25 December, 26 December and 1 January.
Report dog fouling
We will take enforcement action against owners who do not clear up after their dog.
To report dog fouling, you will need:
- your name, address and contact details
- where the problem is located
- any further information that you think is relevant
- photos or evidence of the problem, if you have it
To report a dog owner for not clearing up after their dog, you will need:
- your name, address and contact details
- the date and time you witnessed or became aware of the dog fouling
- the street name and a description of the location where the dog fouling occurs
- a description of the dog
- a description of the owner
How we deal with dog fouling
Once we receive your report of dog fouling, we will:
- make contact with the owner, if you know who they are
- use the information you provide to carry out patrols in the area
If the dog owner does not clear up after their dog, we will give them a fixed penalty notice. If they don’t pay the fixed penalty notice, we will take them to court.
