As the food business operator, you have a right to appeal your food hygiene rating if you do not agree that it reflects the hygiene standards and management controls we found at the time of the inspection.
You have 21 days from the date of receipt of the notification letter to lodge an appeal. This includes weekends and bank holidays.
After you have submitted the form, our Lead Officer for Food will review your rating and let you know the outcome of your appeal within 21 days.
